We are seeking a detail-oriented professional to oversee the full lifecycle of fixed assets while ensuring compliance with Costa Rica Free Trade Zone regulations, financial controls, inventory governance, and asset tracking processes. This is an 80% on-site position located near downtown San José, Costa Rica.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate fixed asset records, inventory controls, and regulatory reporting requirements.
- Ensure compliance with Free Trade Zone regulations, customs requirements, and internal/external audit processes.
- Coordinate physical inventories, asset tagging, tracking, and location verification through specialized systems and tools.
- Manage asset acquisitions, capitalization, transfers, disposals, and recycling activities.
- Perform financial reconciliations and monitor CAPEX projects, purchase orders, and Assets Under Construction (AUC).
- Partner with IT, Facilities, Finance, vendors, and regulatory entities to ensure effective asset management and compliance.
- Oversee incidents involving damaged, lost, or stolen assets, as well as repairs and warranty claims.
- Develop reports, analytics, and insights to support operational and financial decision-making.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Customs Administration, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 3–5 years of experience in fixed asset management, inventory control, asset governance, or auditing.
- Minimum 2 years of experience working within the Costa Rica Free Trade Zone (FTZ) regime and PROCOMER regulations.
- Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or similar platforms.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Experience with inventory tracking and customs management systems (Infosys, TICA, Proinsa, or similar) is a plus.
- Professional proficiency in English and Spanish / B2+ or higer.
